The Game of the Week is at Lambeau Field, where the Green Bay Packers will host the Detroit Lions. Of course, this game is the annual replay of the Packers/Lions game that is featured in Run to Daylight, the second-best book ever written about the NFL. The Packers lead this series 106-76-7. That is the only Top Ten game this week.
I've come to more love than hate seven of the teams in the top ten: the Chiefs, Lions, Packers, Ravens, Commanders, Steelers and Vikings. And I actually might be starting to break fever on the Bills.
ReplyDeleteI can't agree with you on the Bills.
ReplyDeleteFor almost 50 years, Giants Stadium has been a house of horrors for Washington. But today, Jayden Daniels leads Washington to a 27-22 victory in the swamps of Jersey, meaning that Washington has swept the Giants for only the second time since 2011.
ReplyDeleteWashington is 7-2 for the first time since 1996.
ReplyDeleteNext week, Washington has an enormous game at home against the Steelers.
ReplyDeleteUp in Green Bay, the Packers and Lions are playing in a driving rainstorm. The Pack leads 3-0 after one quarter.
ReplyDeleteJared Goff throws a 3-yd touchdown pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown, and the Lions lead 7-3 with 14:56 left in the second quarter.
ReplyDeleteWith 32 seconds left in the first half, Jordan Love serves up a Pick Six to the Lions. Detroit leads 17-3 at the half.
ReplyDeleteWith 48 seconds left in the third quarter, the Lions are cruising -- they lead 24-6, and they look like the best team in the NFC.
ReplyDeleteDetroit rolls to a surprisingly easy 24-14 win in Green Bay. The Lions are now 7-1.
ReplyDeleteRight now my preseason prediction of Lions over the Bills in the Super Bowl is looking pretty good.
