  2. Likewise.

I've always remembered us getting out and driving brand-new I-24 one evening, and I always figured Dad decided to get up there and drive it illegally after hours when the road workers maybe would've been home for the night. Alas, I feel certain this Page 1 Sun-Democrat photograph is what enticed us.

Similarly, not too many years later, we walked the aisles of Kentucky Oaks Mall on the first night it was open to the public, and I just could not believe that in the future we were going to have specialty fast-food places that sold only baked potatoes.

  4. Gary Bender in St. Louis, about three months before Verne Lundquist's "He's got to be the sickest man in America" Super Bowl narration of Jackie Smith's drop with the Cowboys: ". Jackie Smith is beside himself! He thought he had a touchdown. He was fighting for everything. All of a sudden, the ball is jarred loose, and the Saints have come away with it."
