The U.S. Women's Open

The U.S. Women's Golf Open is a favorite event of mine, but I rarely pay it the attention it deserves.  This year's edition is the first to be played at Pebble Beach, which means we get some more prime time golf.  To prepare yourself, here are all the winners since we started the Heath Post:

  10. There's just not much going on in this tournament. This is obviously one of those deals where the course was playing easier in the morning, because no one in the afternoon pairings -- except for H.J. Kim -- is challenging the morning scores.

  11. Michelle Wie shot a 79 and Annika Sorenstam shot an 80, so neither of them is likely to be around for the weekend.

  15. Allisen Corpuz, who grew up in Hawaii (where she attended the same high school as Barack Obama), and who played golf for the University of Southern California, birdies the 5th hole (which is her 14th hole of the day) and moves to 3 under par.
