More high drama in the boys' basketball regionals today. In the last AP poll of the year, there were four private schools in the top 10. Now they have all been eliminated. And check out how close many of these games were. I cannot remember another year with so many close games in the regionals:
2d Region Semi-Final (at Madisonville-N. Hopkins):
Madisonville-N. Hopkins 66, Hopkinsville 65 (Overtime)
6th Region Semi-Finals (at Lou. Valley):
Bullitt East 62, (T8) Lou. DeSales 58
Lou. Western 43, Lou. Fern Creek 42
11th Region Semi-Finals (at E. Kentucky Univ.):
(6) Lex. Douglass 56, Lex. Dunbar 55
Madison Cent. 67, Franklin Co. 51
16th Region Semi-Finals (at Morehead St. Univ.):
(10) Ashland Blazer 76, W. Carter 69 (Overtime)
Rowan Co. 60, Boyd Co. 45
