I still miss the Metro Seven, which was one of my favorite basketball conferences. The Metro had a number of different iterations. I go with the membership as of 1980 -- the year U of L won its first national championship. As you will see, this is a solid year for the Metro. Each team is listed in order of its appearance on Ken Pomeroy's rankings:
8. Louisville: 17-3
16. Florida St: 17-2
45. Cincinnati: 12-7
61. Memphis: 14-5
66. Virginia Tech: 14-6
85. Saint Louis: 15-5
177. Tulane: 10-9
