Today Vanderbilt plays Texas A & M, while Mississippi St. takes on Florida.
Texas A & M beat Vandy 13-3 in only 7 innings, thanks to the mercy rule. Vandy is eliminated.

In Saturday's first semi-final, Ole Miss led Texas A & M 8-5 going into the eighth inning. But the Aggies roared back, scoring seven runs in the last two innings for a 12 to 8 victory. Ole Miss is eliminated, and Texas A & M moves to the final.
ReplyDeleteIn other news, the College of William & Mary was eliminated from the CAA tournament on Thursday. The CAA crown went to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
ReplyDeleteWKU went 10-20 in conference play, and did not qualify for the C-USA tournament.
ReplyDeleteMorehead State was the only Kentucky school to qualify for the OVC baseball tournament, but the Eagles were eliminated on Friday in back-to-back shutouts by SEMO and Belmont.

ReplyDeleteThe University of Idaho does not appear to have a baseball team.
Florida and LSU are about to meet in the other SEC semi-final. The winner will face TAMU for the title tomorrow.
