Man, this is great. Disneyland, the Seattle monorail, Doris Day at court side ... I hope Matt Weiner's next project is a no-conflict series about the 1965-66 Baltimore Bullets.
"A vital part of the Bullets' success is the corps of men in the press section" ... YEAH! This is going to be a great episode of Tall Men of Baltimore.
Compelling, bold finish promoting Baltimore as a "big-league capital" thanks to the Bullets, Colts and Orioles. Convinced me. Thank you, Chris Schenkel and Winik Films. That was totally satisfying.
Let's do "join the Bullets on a western swing," Chris Schenkel of Bippus, Indiana (rest in peace)!
ReplyDeleteI wish this whole movie was about the Bullets' sight-seeing trips when they're traveling for away games.
ReplyDeleteI love Disney--both land and world.
ReplyDelete"Elgin Baylor ... considered by some the best all-around player in the history of the NBA ..."

ReplyDeleteBill Russell ... "the block ... intimidation ... and the rebound ..."

ReplyDeleteThen there's the episode where "prominent Baltimore businesspeople ... furrier Jay Allen and hairstylist Harry Schmuckler" hook up the "pretty group" of Bullet wives with new coats and 'dos.
ReplyDeleteThe reunion game ... the Playboy bunnies game ... the Globetrotters ... Tall Men of Baltimore writes itself!

ReplyDeleteI plan to go back and watch this movie to get ready for the NBA playoffs.
