Well, it's time to start checking in with the world of college baseball. The Navy/Lafayette game was just the beginning. Here is the current top 20, according to Baseball America (defending national champions in bold). The SEC (home of the defending champion Vanderbilt Commodores) appears to be pretty formidable:

Kentucky is 19-15 overall, but only 5-9 in the rugged SEC. Western is 16-16 overall, and 7-8 in Conference USA. And the OVC standings (conference games only) look like this:
