Album Review: Weekend at Burnie's by Curren$y

The first time through this album I found it kind of interesting.  I don't know anything about Curren$y but I thought it sounded like a fun 20 something's look at the world.  Cracking on women, making fun of his own lifestyle, etc.  It does it all with this laid back sound which is a bit enticing in its own way.

Problem is Curren$y is 30 and the more I listened to the album the more boring I found it.  Learning that he was 30 didn't help, but I found the laid back sound over time just sounded lazy, as did Curren$y's vocals.

If you want some really laid back hip-hop that's a bit juvenile then give this a shot otherwise I'd stay away.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.
