Album Review: Crazy Love by Hawk Nelson

I started my review of the JaneDear girls album with the following statement, "This may not be fair to say, but there is nothing original about this album."  That's pretty much how I feel about this album.  Lyrically there is nothing new here, musically there is nothing new here, it just feels like a band going through the motions. 

It doesn't mean they can't write solid pop tunes or Christian rock anthems, but it does mean there is nothing that makes you think twice about this album.

I say Christian rock anthems because these guys are a Christian rock band in the vein of bands like Wheezer and Green Day.  This isn't a bad album, but like the JaneDear girls it just feels unemotional and robotic. 

I guess if you are in the mood for a Christian version of Green Day then give this a listen.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.
