Netherlands 0 - 1 Spain (After Extra Time)

Spain have won an extremely well-deserved title. They are now the European Champions, the World Champions, and the Unofficial World Champions. They will be remembered as one of the great national teams of all time.

I think the only team who could have given them problems was Brazil, and in retrospect the key event of the whole tournament was Brazil's second-half meltdown in the quarter-finals against the Netherlands. Once Brazil was eliminated, the only question left was whether anyone could hold out against Spain long enough to get to penalty kicks. But nobody could.
