British Open - Friday - 8 PM (BST)

Rory McIlroy may be the next Tiger Woods, but he's not going to show us this year. He is eight over for the day through 15 holes, and could actually miss the cut after shooting a 63 yesterday. Helps you appreciate just how amazing the actual Tiger Woods has been.

Speaking of the real Tiger, he has been in classic grind-it-out mode. Like the great 49ers teams of the 1980s, everybody pays attention to his passing game but most people don't appreciate how good his defense and running game are. He is even par for the day and five under for the tournament, which are excellent scores under under the circumstances.

1. L. Oosthuizen (RSA): -12 (36 holes)
2. M. Calcavecchia (USA): -7 (36)
T3. P. Casey (ENG): -6 (36)
T3. L. Westwood (ENG): -6 (36)
T3. A. Canizares (ESP): -6 (26)
T3. S. Tiley (ENG): -6 (23)
