College Baseball Tournament

Regionals are still going on, and no one has yet qualified for the Super Regionals, but we should have some teams qualify tonight.  Kentucky can win their Region if they can beat Indiana State tonight, but that game has been delayed by rain.

  1. Meanwhile, here's the draw for the KHSAA Baseball Championship, which will start on Thursday in Lexington. As in basketball, we have a single state championship featuring one team from each region:

  2. So far, only two of the 16 number-one seeds in the NCAA Baseball Tournament have been eliminated: Arkansas (the overall number 5 seed) and Arizona (the overall number 13 seed).

    1. I dated a JMU grad for a little while, and I went to church in Raleigh with a slew of NCSU students, graduates and faculty. Also, N.C. State is one of the schools my daughter is visiting. So, ... huge!

  7. Clemson beats Coastal Carolina 12-5 and becomes the third team from the Classic ACC to win its Region.

  12. Two more Regional Champions from the Classic SEC:

    Georgia comes from behind to beat Georgia Tech 8-6 in 10 innings and take the Athens Region.

    And the UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY beats Indiana St. 5-0 to capture the Lexington Region.
