This was the first time since 2018 that the Masters had its traditional Sunday finish. In 2019, they had to play the Sunday round in the morning due to concerns about weather. In 2020, the tournament was played in November due to COVID. In 2021, it was played without the usual crowds. It was very nice to have it back, even if today was not one of the more dramatic Masters Tournaments in history. In retrospect, this tournament may be remembered as the first of Scottie Scheffler's major wins. He was magnificent.
This was the eighth major tournament of the 2020's. So far, the Americans have six wins (Morikawa 2, Scheffler, Mickelson, Johnson, DeChambeau), and the rest of the world has two (Matsuyama, Rahm).
Next up: in May we'll get the PGA Championship from Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We haven't seen Southern Hills since Tiger won the PGA there in 2007.
