I think my new favorite A is going to be Buddy Reed, who is a 6-foot-4, 25-year-old outfielder. He has two hits in five spring-training at-bats so far, and both are home runs—including a solo in the top of the seventh today as Oakland beat the Brewers, 2-1. Also, he can really throw.
No one who has played at least three games in the entire Cactus League has a better record than the Swingin' 2-1 A's. And now Oakland is leading the Rockies in the top of the second, 3-0. Austin Allen has taken Ryan Castellani to a full count, and my main man, Buddy Reed, is in the hole ...
