In the second semester of my eighth-grade year at Heath Middle School, I wrote a smooth-jazz song, “Hot ’n’ Heavy.” I still have the handprinted sheet music somewhere. I’ve been working a lot to smooth jazz recently, and we have an electric keyboard, and my wife for Christmas gave me a big pile of how-to-play-the-piano books. So what I’m saying is, look out--you never know.
Right now, I'm listening to (and enjoying a great deal) the title song from Max Highstein's 2020 Gratitunes album. Per MaxHeighsteinMusic.com, "Highstein was an early experimenter with sound healing. His 1984 recording, 12 Cosmic Healers, corresponded musical key signatures with specific parts of the body."
