World Series Game Six

Baseball season is really long.  The Nats played their first game of the regular season on March 28, 2019.  That was the day before Kentucky beat Houston in the Sweet 16.  Today the Nats will play their 16th game of the post-season, and their 178th game of the year.  It will also be their last game of the year unless they find a way to beat Justin Verlander in Houston.  On the other hand, they have Stephen Strasburg pitching tonight, and they always play better with him.  Houston is the best team, and they deserve the title, and they will really deserve it if they finish off the Nats by beating Strasburg, who went 18-6 in the regular season -- and who is 4-0 in the playoffs.

  1. The Nats are now saying that Scherzer would be available for Game Seven -- if they can get there.

  4. Strasburg's striking out Altuve with one out and runners on second and third was stunning. And having the ninth hitter, Gomes, turned out to be huge for the Nationals--his hit to lead off the ninth turned into the crazy Turner play, and he was the runner on when Rendon homered for the 5-2 lead.
