That "Just Like Heaven" sounds like something pouring out of the organ store at the Kentucky Oaks Mall in 1985.
By the way, I recently said somewhere that Disintegration was the No. 4-selling record at the FYE music store at Kentucky Oaks Mall. I was wrong. I checked my pictures from that visit, and it was No. 13. An Allman Brothers album was No. 16.
My Wizards are now 8-5 and third in the Eastern Conference, and my "Pels"--I heard the home-team broadcasters last night, and they call the New Orleans team the "Pels" (not the "'Cans")--are now 8-6 and T5 in the West. I'm very excited about a 'Zards/Pels matchup in the NBA Finals.
The Dolphins have been on national TV for the last three weeks, and they've lost all three games. I watched every down of the first two losses, but I had to call off the dogs with about three minutes to go last night--just couldn't take it anymore. I was a freaking 49-year-old man who had to be up at 5 the next morning, sitting around in his sad, tattered Bob Griese jersey and Dolphins socks, drinking from his sad frosted Dolphins glass, trying not to wake up his beautiful wife and beautiful daughter, and I just had to give it up. My frosted Dolphins glass cracked this morning when I was sleepily carrying it to the dishwasher.
