Oh, Kentucky

Here's how Kentucky newspapers played last week's eclipse, which was amazing.

Paducah has a new Dairy Queen. 

 Marcella's Kitchen, which serves hot meals to folks in need, is moving across Marshall County and doubling its capacity.

    When I was a kid I just loved Shoneys.

      Yeah.

      The Shoney's in South Charleston, West Virginia, was a frequent venue for me on trips back and forth between Kentucky and Washington. It soothed a particular melancholy, so I still appreciate it and the other Shoney's. I'm glad to see their resurgence around here.
