You make the point at the end of Tenth about the impact of the ABA on the NBA ... I was reading a respective on the 1971 Utah Stars last week. One of the guards on that team, Ron Boone, who is or was a broadcaster for the Jazz in recent years, made the point that it was only in the last few seasons that the NBA had started using the three-pointer in the way the ABA had--as a legitimate tool in the offensive gameplan, as opposed to a defensive/desperation deal where you were just trying to tie things up late and down three points. I don't know how accurate that is, but it was an interesting point.
Nice on the outro MIDI, by the way. What's the opening one?
Very impressive guess on Ally Sheedy.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, I almost pulled the plug on this whole Happy Birthday Matthew quiz activity when you guessed Short Circuit.
