The fifth podcast is up. Thanks to freemidi.org for the audio files. We've had to make some changes about the location of our podcast so I'll be updating the feed information with iTunes and GooglePlay
That was my favorite thing in the show. You were so serious in your take on their spice cake. There are two things I like about it. One that you have obviously thought about this before. Two that you probably get a spice cake every time you go just wondering if it will be improved and it never is.
The Heath Post @heathpostdotcom Replying to @KYStateParks Could you please provide a list of the "Chef’s Choice Local Favorites" per park? We would LOVE to read that list. 11:34 AM - 11 Apr 2017
Yeah I was trying to avoid it, but they didn't have "When You Think About Love, Think About Me" and I was too lazy to search around for it. Then I started looking for a song that anyone would quickly recognize and thus hit on "Here You Come Again."
thank you so much for figuring this out.
ReplyDeletei love the seriousness in your voice when you ask, "What's your take on country ham?"
ReplyDeleteListening to the podcast. Just fyi - We had country ham every week. My grandmother made redeye gravy with it and biscuits.
DeleteRoute2! Exciting to have you back. I think having our first comment on the podcast should be the primary topic of conversation in Next Podcast.
Delete20 minutes in, still talking about food ... this was the best episode so far.
ReplyDeletei guess they're called "chow mein" noodles, not "wonton" noodles.
ReplyDeletehere are my giant American Heritage Dictionary's noun definitions for relish ...
ReplyDelete"an appetite for something; a strong appreciation or liking: a relish for luxury."
ReplyDelete"a. Hearty enjoyment; zest. b. Something that lends pleasure or zest."
ReplyDeleteon the morning after, really regretting my shot at the kentucky state parks' spice cake. that wasn't necessary at all.

Deleteyou're totally right on both points.
Deleteback to relish ... "a. A spicy or savory condiment or appetizer, such as chutney or olives. b. A condiment of chopped sweet pickle."
ReplyDeleteOlives=relish! I had no idea.
Delete"The flavor of a food, especially when appetizing."
ReplyDelete"A trace or suggestion of a pleasurable quality."

DeleteOn one of the podcasts, we talked about singers who almost act the characters in their stories. Check out Dolly Parton doing "Joshua" here.
