The A.P. released its pre-season college basketball poll today. Based on these results, we could be in for some high drama (number of national titles in parentheses):

Last year, Villanova became the first team since Florida in 2007 that had not already won at least two N.C.A.A. titles before lifting the crown. Florida in 2006 was the last team to win the title for the first time.
