Tonight is the first must-see game of the playoffs: Game Six of the Western Conference Semi-Final between the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder lead the series 3 games to 2 -- this game is in Oklahoma City, and the Thunder will very much want to close out the series. If they do, tonight's game could be the last ever played by Tim Duncan.
Any further thoughts will go into the comments.
With 6:43 to go in the second quarter, OKC leads 35-25.
ReplyDeleteWestbrook is 4-7 from the field so far. If Westbrook makes over 50 percent of his shots, OKC is not going to lose.
ReplyDeleteAfter 20 minutes, OKC leads 38-29. Donovan really has the Thunder playing great defense. That's some U of L-quality defense.
ReplyDeleteWow. The Spurs are completely flummoxed by the OKC defense. The Thunder lead 47-31 with only 1:16 left in the first half. San Antonio is 14-40 from the field.
ReplyDeleteOKC has apparently morphed into the 1989 Pistons. Golden State could be in for a war.
I take it all back, OKC. In an absolutely devastating performance, the Thunder lead 55-31 at the half. With all the money on the line, Coach Popovich's high-powered offense could make only 14-45 shots from the field in the first half. All credit to Coach Donovan, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, and the rest of the Thunder. This is probably the best I've ever seen them play.
ReplyDeleteIn the second quarter, OKC outscored the Spurs 30 to 12.
