Well, it's getting to be that time of year. There is (I think) only one week left in the regular season, and then it will be time for conference tournaments. Here is the Baseball America top 25. Looks pretty good for the SEC, right? Just wait until the NCAA releases the seeds. By the way, notice that no team north of Louisville is ranked higher than Louisville. One more point -- there's got to be a good story about why the best athletes in the State of Texas no longer attend the University of Texas, and I would like to know what that is.

ReplyDeleteI was in Austin last week, and there was a local TV report on a Texas baseball loss. I think they said that the Longhorns are below .500 this season. Anyway, the coach was just utterly drained in the interview--I honestly thought he was going to start crying, talking about how sorry he was to/for everyone around the team. So I'm going to root for Texas to win the College World Series now.
