Hail to the Tops!

Congratulations to the Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers, who beat Southern Mississippi today by the score of 45 to 28 in Bowling Green.  By this victory, in front of 16,823 fans at WKU, the Hilltoppers captured the championship of Conference USA.  Special credit goes to coach Jeff Brohm, who has kept up the momentum that began with the hiring of Bobby Petrino a few years ago.  Special credit also goes to quarterback Brandon Doughty, who through for 42 touchdowns and over 4,000 yards this season.  But most of all, credit goes to the fans and administration at Western Kentucky University, who have successfully taken their beloved school into the ranks of Division I-A football.  We wish them many years of success, and we hope they win whatever bowl game they play.
