One of my top albums in 1994 was Seal by Seal. Hard to believe that's been 20 years ago, but that was a very solid album. Funny thing is I didn't stick with Seal. Not sure why, but this is the first Seal album I've listened to in 20 years.
It has a great opening track "Daylight Saving" which has gotten a lot of play. The rest of the album, however, doesn't hold my interest. Part of the problem is that the sound is a bit all over the place and so the album does not have a consistent feel. I don't know if he used multiple producers, songwriters, not sure but it doesn't feel like an album as much as a collection of songs. Still when he hits a good one, like "Daylight Saving," he really hits it.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
