For this moment, the A's are no longer the worst team in the American League. With its third-straight victory completed just moments ago, 6-5 over the San Diego Padres, Oakland improved its record to 28-39 (.417). That moved our A's just past the Boston Red Sox (27-38, .415) in the overall A.L. standings. #GreenCollar!
Breaking: In the time it took me to type that paragraph, Boston finished off a 9-4 victory over Atlanta. That ended a seven-game losing streak for the Red Sox, and, in improving to 28-38 (.424) on the season, Boston moved back ahead of Oakland (28-39, .417) in the American League.
ReplyDeleteThe A's have actually scored more runs than they've allowed. It's almost impossible to do that and have the worst record in the American League.
