One of my favorite terms in music criticism is "dream pop." It pretty well defines a certain sound. When you hear it you have a good idea of what to expect.
Heavenly Beat is a one man dream pop act and Eucharist is his third album. It's a solid album though it wears a bit thin over time. There are no bad songs but after a bit the hushed vocals seem to wear me down.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad. It would be a good album to throw on as background music, but it's not the kind of album that is going to be the focus of your attention. You could pick out any one track for a dance party mix or a workout mix.
Totally agree about "dream pop."
