Here's what I would do ... if I wasn't going to fly in to visit Readmore Books or Albritton's Pharmacy in Paducah, I would find a good convenience out there where you live and I would find the candy section. Then I would try to identify all of the candy-bar-ish products within a fairly narrow price range. I don't even know what a candy bar typically costs now--$1? $1.50? Anyway, I would take a cellphone picture or two of all of the products that are all stocked together and all cost about the same price. And those would be the bracket. What I'm trying to do is create an Ultimate Bracket version of the experience of having $1.50 available to me and knowing I want a candy bar (without any sort of care for stuff like how bad the candy bar is for me or whatever). Granola and energy bars are not in play; bags of butterscotch discs are not in play; Little Debbies are not in play.
I don't know what I'm going to do if Ultimate Bracket Candy-bar Edition comes down to Mr. Goodbar and Almond Joy.
ReplyDeleteSo should it be candy bars or packaged candy. Like should M&M's be included?
DeleteWell, I think that's up to Polldaddy, but I will say that I count M&M's as a candy bar (even though they're not a bar!).
DeleteWhat about Mike and Ikes, Hot Tamales, etc.

DeleteEric's approach seems very sound to me.
DeleteWe're going to end up with a 19 week regular season with 4 conferences in a 76 team league. At the end of that we'll have an 8 team playoff.
DeleteIn that case, Eric's approach does not seem sound.
DeleteDon't forget Goo Goo and Milky Way!!
