The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers jumped out to a 9-1 start in conference play in the first year in the C-USA, but since then the Tops have lost three games in a row: at home to Rice (72-68), at Marshall (87-82), and at Ala-Birmingham (71-66). In late January, Ken Pom had Western ranked 94th in the nation, but the Tops have slid 47 places since then. We will hope that Western turns things around when they go to MTSU on Sunday:
66. Louisiana Tech: 12-2
81. UTEP: 10-3
129. Ala-Birmingham: 10-4
141. W. Kentucky: 9-4
82. Old Dominion: 8-5
181. Tex-San Antonio: 7-6
164. Mid. Tenn. St.: 7-7
243. N. Texas: 6-7
247: Rice: 6-7
251. Fla. Int'l: 6-7
272. Marshall: 5-8
139. Charlotte: 4-9
318. So. Mississippi: 2-12
278. Fla. Atlantic: 1-12
Three in a row for the Tops!
