I watched American Idol the first season. Don't remember if I watched the second season or not, but I have read that Kris Allen won at some point on Idol. After they had reached the point where contestants could play an instrument. Listening to this album I can say they picked a good winner. There is nothing groundbreaking on this album, nothing experimental, nothing to get too excited about, but it is a solid album. A solid album of which Allen wrote all the songs. This is classic modern adult alternative stuff.
That being said it easily falls into the category of music to clean the house to, because let's face it that's what adult alternative music is all about.
There isn't a bad song on this album and though there isn't much to get excited about there is nothing to complain about either.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
