Spoon has been putting out albums for 18 years. I didn't discover them until around 2007, but they have a very strong discography. If you don't know much about them I would encourage anyone to check them out. This album, their first in four years, is quite good and feels very fresh and full of energy. Not always the case from bands that have been banging around for 20 years.
Sometimes it's nice to put on a rock album and this is a rock album that is full of energy, solid hooks, and what makes it stand out is that it is also full of interesting songs. I find Britt Daniel to be an interesting songwriter and he doesn't disappoint on this album coming up with 10 solid songs. That's a good way to go after being away for four years I think.
A great album to take on a solo drive. Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 3 out of 5 stars for Pretty Good.
These people remind me of OMC.
