Back in 2002 or so I discovered Air's Moon Safari and fell in love with it. It had come out in 1998 and was a brilliant album. As time went by and they put out other albums I would generally give them a quick listen and then dismiss them. Nothing to me every matched that wonderful album. They also moved into making movie soundtracks and so were chosen to make the soundtrack for the silent 1912 film Le Voyage Dans La Lune. What I'm reviewing is their release which expanded on the score for the movie to flush out a full length album.
This is not the kind of album you are going to reach for years from now because it is so good, but it is the kind of album that in the moment you can enjoy by throwing on in the background while you work. This would have been a great album when I was a kid to play Extra Innings to.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
