DeleteWe really need someone to become the Ken Pomeroy of KHSAA basketball -- I would love to know what the deal was with McCracken County's win at Graves County.

ReplyDeleteFrom Jan. 23, 1944 - In a very exciting basketball game here on Saturday night, Glasgow defeated Cave City 32-21 to take top honors in the County Basketball Tournament. Arterburn led the Scotties attack with 12 points. In the semi=finals on Friday night, Cave City topped Hiseville 44-33, when Glasgow won over Park City 49-27. At the close of the tournament, the coaches picked an all tournament team of ten players: Arterburn, Lessenberry and Bertram of Glasgow; Hogan, Jones and Reynolds of Cave City; Collins of Austin Tracy; Newberry of Hiseville: Pardue of Park City, and Claywell of Temple Hill.
How many coaching wins does Billy Hicks have? Depends whom you ask.
