As a supplement to Eric's excellent coverage, here are this week's high school football games in Western Kentucky (home teams listed first). By the way, this will be the second time Fulton City has played Jackson Preparatory School this year. City won the last match-up 30-12 on September 7. City should schedule a game with Hopkins Co. Central, which has scored only 30 points in seven games. But that's better than Fulton County, which has scored only six points in four games -- all against teams from West Tennessee.
The two best teams in Western Kentucky -- Mayfield and Caldwell County -- are taking the week off, which leaves us with a pretty bland schedule.
However, there are two games of interest in Eastern Kentucky: Harlan County hosts Letcher Co. Central in the "Friends of Coal Bowl." And Clinton County hosts Red Boiling Springs School from Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee. With the possible exception of Rural Retreat, Virginia; Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee may be my favorite place name.

Rural Retreat and Red Boiling Springs are both great. But I do believe that Future City, Kentucky, is my favorite place name. There or Symsonia. Or Sonora.
