No Saturday games in western Kentucky this week, as we are now moving into the heart of football season.
The "139 Bowl" is apparently named after the state highway that connects Princeton and Cadiz. I think that's very cool. I would love to be at that game. I also think that Calloway and Marshall should call their game the "641 Bowl."
These last few weeks before divisional play starts are my favorite part of the season. Lots of good rivalry-type games. I would like to see Ft. Campbell host Christian County, Tilghman take on Graves County, Union against Crittenden, and Hopkinsville play Madisonville.
Home teams listed first:
Ballard Mem. (3-0) v. Webster Co. (1-2)
Calloway Co. (1-1) v. Marshall Co. (0-2)
Ft. Campbell (1-2) v. Christian Co. (1-2)
Graves Co. (2-0) v. Paducah Tilghman (1-2)
Hopkinsville (2-1) v. Madisonville-N. Hopkins (1-1)
Mayfield (3-0) v. Murray (1-2)
S. Fulton (Tenn.) v. Fulton Co. (0-2)
Trigg Co. (2-1 ) v. Caldwell Co. (3-0) (139 Bowl)
Union Co. (1-1) v. Crittenden Co. (2-0)
That was the first I'd heard of the "139 Bowl," too, and I agree that it's very good.
