All year, we have enjoyed the Power Rankings over at CBS Sports. The regular season ends this weekend, and here are the last rankings of the year. Personally, I am very happy that the Nats finished ahead of the Orioles. Oh, and I'm glad that the Nats have Stephen Strasburg all rested up for the playoffs. And, hey, we had a better year than they did in Chicago:
1. Boston Red Sox: 95-63
2. Oakland Athletics: 94-65
3. Detroit Tigers: 92-66
4. St. Louis Cardinals: 94-65
5. Atlanta Braves: 93-64
6. Cincinnati Reds: 90-69
7. Los Angeles Dodgers: 91-66
8. Pittsburgh Pirates: 91-68
9. Tampa Bay Devil Rays: 88-69
10. Cleveland Indians: 87-70
11. Washington Nationals: 84-75
12. Kansas City Royals: 83-74
13. Texas Rangers: 86-71
14. New York Yankees: 82-75
15. Baltimore Orioles: 81-76
16. Los Angeles Angels: 78-80
17. Arizona Diamondbacks: 80-77
18. San Diego Padres: 73-84
19. San Francisco Giants: 72-85
20. New York Mets: 73-85
21. Colorado Rockies: 72-86
22. Toronto Blue Jays: 72-85
23. Philadelphia Phillies: 72-85
24. Milwaukee Brewers: 70-87
25. Seattle Mariners: 69-89
26. Minnesota Twins: 66-91
27. Chicago Cubs: 66-93
28. Chicago White Sox: 62-95
29. Miami Marlins: 58-100
30. Houston Astros: 51-107
I'd heard last season or sometime that the Florida Marlins were going to change their name to the Miami Marlins, and then I forgot all about that until just now.
