I found myself in one of those situations where I had about 16 hours of work to do and two days to do it. I was sitting in front of a computer staring away and needed some music to listen to. I essentially repeated this album over and over again for two days. For whatever reason this album just worked perfectly for me with what I was doing. It was probably three times through before I really started paying attention to the album and realized it's pretty good.Now that I'm writing this review I'll be pulling it off my queue so who knows I may forget about the album, or come September I may wonder what I ever saw in it, but for three days in 2013 it was pretty much all I listened to.
The opening track and the single that she released off the album, "Hurry Hurry," is the song version of the old Brute commercial that all men of a certain age love so much.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 3 out of 5 stars for Pretty Good.
I clicked open this review and immediately started playing the video. Loved the song from the first few notes ... and then came to your great comparison of it to the seminal, 1987 Brut commercial.
