I'm happy to see that Eric is keeping us up-to-date on the 1967-68 NBA playoffs. Here in the 2012-13 season, life isn't quite so dramatic. Here are the scores from Miami's first-round series with Milwaukee:
Miami 110, Milwaukee 87
Miami 98, Milwaukee 86
Miami 104, Milwaukee 91
Miami 88, Milwaukee 77
Four games, four double-digit wins for the Heat. So the expected Heat Repeat is still on the cards.
Here were the results from the first round (higher seeds listed first):
Eastern Conference:
Miami 4 - 0 Milwaukee
Brooklyn 3 - 4 Chicago
New York 4 - 2 Boston
Indiana 4 - 2 Atlanta
Western Conference:
Oklahoma City 4 - 2 Houston
L.A. Clippers 2 - 4 Memphis
San Antonio 4 - 0 L.A. Lakers
Denver 2 - 4 Golden State
This sets up the following conference semi-finals:
Eastern Conference:
(1) Miami v. (5) Chicago
(2) New York v. (3) Indiana
Western Conference:
(1) Oklahoma City v. (5) Memphis
(2) San Antonio v. (6) Golden State
Indiana upset New York at Madison Square Garden yesterday, beating the Knicks 102-95 to take the lead and the home court advantage from New York. I can only imagine how thrilled NBA fans are at the prospect of a match-up between the Heat and the Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals.
