This is a solid collection of 10 songs. The songs all work well together to create a good album experience and Edwards writing and singing are interesting and solid throughout. She has a good feel for melodies and hooks and so you can easily catch yourself humming along a second time through the album.
Anyhow if you are married and your spouse likes folksy singer songwriter types that edge toward adult alternative rock, then this might be a good one to throw on the old record player.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
Thanks for the tip, bro!
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, I've always wondered if Kathleen Edwards's "Sweet Little Duck" was based at all on Hindman's.
ReplyDeleteI actually might try to find this album on vinyl, per your recommendation and based on my affection for this one song.
