Last week the quarter-finals in the UEFA Champions League were completed, and there were no big surprised among the winners. Here are the aggregate scores for each two-leg match:
Borussia Dortmund (GER) 3 - 2 Malaga (ESP)
Galatasaray (TUR) 3 - 5 Real Madrid (ESP)
Barcelona (ESP) 3 - 3 Paris Saint-German (FRA) (Barca advances on away goals)
Juventus (ITA) 0 - 4 Bayern Munich (GER)
And that sets up the following semi-finals:
Barcelona (ESP) v. Bayern Munich (GER)
Real Madrid (ESP) v. Borussia Dortmund (GER)
The four best teams in the world are Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United. United and Real Madrid met in the Sweet 16, and that match was decided when United was hit with a red card. Real Madrid should be able to get past Borussia Dortmund (the name "Borussia" is Latin for Prussia, but the name was actually taken from a type of beer brewed in Dortmund.) But the Barca/Bayern Munich match should be quite exciting.
