Album Review: Talk That Talk by Rihanna

Rihanna is the most prolific pop artist of modern times that I'm aware of. From 2005 to 2012 she put out seven albums. That is an incredible number. Personally I think it shows. Talk That Talk was her 2011 release and though it has its moments it is for the most part just a cookie cutter album. I went back and read and this was pretty much what I said about her 2010 album. It might be interesting if she were to step back and actually focus on creating a well constructed and well thought out album, but that doesn't seem to be how she rolls. That being said maybe this is what's best for her anyhow. She simply doesn't have the voice to pull off a big album as can be seen on this album with the ballads like "Farewell."

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.

It should be noted that the video below has been viewd over 240,000,000 times, so obviously she and her team are doing something right.
