I came into this album knowing nothing about Tegan and Sara. They are following in the tradition of bands like the Indigo Girls mixing folk and pop. This is a live album and I'm happy with what they have done. It was recorded live in front of a small audience and videoed for a DVD set. If you are going to make an album like this which is targeted at your hard core fans, I think this is a good way to go about it. There is nothing here for me. I don't care much for their voices and the songs feel a bit melodramatic. If you are a Tegan and Sara fan then I'm sure you'll love this album. If like me you know nothing about them this is probably not the way to get introduced to them.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.
