World Series: Game 4

Well, at least the Detroit fans got to see a decent game last night.  Of course, it was also the last game of the year, as the Tigers were beaten 4-3 in 10 innings.  San Francisco completed a World Series sweep -- the first since 2007, but the fourth since 2003.

Last year, the season was pretty dull, but the World Series was really exciting.  This year, the season was a lot of fun, but the World Series was incredibly tiresome.  On the whole, I think I'd rather have an entertaining World Series.

Anyway, congratulations to the Giants, who didn't win a single World Series from 1955 to 2009, but who have now won two of the last three.  Also, congrats to the National League, which won the World Series for the third year in a row.  This is the best run for the Senior Circuit since 1979-1982, when the NL won four consecutive World Series.

I'm annoyed with baseball now, because it's silly playoff system gave us so many bad games.  But the Marlins will open the season in Natstown on April 1, and I'll be ready to watch.

WORLD SERIES (Best of 7):
San Francisco beats Detroit 4-0

  1. After the Pirates won, I hated that run of N.L. dominance through 1982.
