There is going to be a lot of whining about how bad the TV ratings are for this World Series, and a lot of ink will be spilled trying to figure out what to do about the Fall Classic. But the truth is that the Giants have simply sucked all the life out of this baseball season. In their last six games, they have thrown four shutouts and they have allowed only four runs. In their three victories over St. Louis, they outscored the Cardinals 20-1. In their three victories over Detroit, they outscored the Tigers 12-3. At no point in any of these games were they behind, and once they got into the lead, they never gave it up. It's an amazing accomplishment, but it's incredibly boring to non-Giants fans.
