I went to the hardware store the other day to get a metric, hex set, and was happy to see that in the hand tools section there were plenty of products still being made in the USA.
I ended up getting a set made by Eklind Tools out of the Chicago area in Illinois.
I tend to do my hardware shopping at a locally owned store and my experience over the last few years have tought me that you'll have better luck finding "Made in the USA" hardware products when you shop at a locally owned hardware store, rather than one of the big chains.
One of my favorite things at locally owned hardware stores often is the candy and other snacks that are available at checkout.
