I'm not the biggest heavy metal fan, but what I like about this album is that it is exactly what you'd expect from Megadeth. These guys put out their first album in 1985 and put out their last studio album in 2001, so after ten years away and so many years in the business you never know what to expect but they delivered with a solid album. It's hard, it's fast, it's angry, it's hook heavy, it's everything you expect from Megadeth and that's a great thing. If you're in the mood for some good old fashioned heavy metal, then give this a listen and you won't be disappointed.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
I have a related note for all the heavy-metal listeners out there in HP nation! I happened into a Starbucks yesterday and picked up the new Dave Matthews Band CD for my wife. I was surprised at how heavy it is. So, there you go, heavy-metal fans.
