Great jobs news for Louisville. Good for Lexington, too? Bad in Ashland.
Kentucky's sporting set is in for an exciting Friday. Kenny Perry got (very) hot too late last weekend; let's see if he stays that way when he tees off at 10:50 Central in West Des Moines, Iowa, this morning. That's probably about the time all of the Commissioner's Cup-winning EKU Colonels will be enjoying their made-to-order omelets at the OVC Honors Brunch in Nashville. Then, come lunchtime, the Bell County High football team will be hawking hot dogs at the Pineville Pic Pac. And then, this afternoon, UK opens play in the NCAA baseball tournament at 3 Central, against Kent State, in Gary, Ind. At 6 this evening, it's Louisville's turn--against New Mexico State in Tuscon, Ariz.
If you're on the market for a medium-to-high-mileage Crown Vic or an IBM typewriter, Burlington has a deal for you.
Happy birthday, Kentucky!
