NBA Update

This article by Gregg Doyel does a better job than I could at describing how the officials have completely taken over the NBA Finals. I would feel silly trying to explain what the Thunder are doing wrong, or what Miami is doing right. If these games had been accurately officiated, I think the Thunder would be up either 3-0 or 2-1, and the series would basically be over.

So I will just say this: the Oklahoma City Thunder are better than the Miami Heat, and I will continue to believe that no matter what happens the rest of the way. The young Thunder may completely fall apart after two devastating losses in a row, but that still wouldn't convince me that the Heat are the better team.

I will make one other point: I was very excited to see this series, and I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what would happen and watching the first three games. I'm not excited any more.

You can see more on the officiating here. I particularly recommend watching the clip showing Durant's first four fouls last night, as those calls effectively decided the game -- and possibly the series.
