Forecast calls for mix of clouds and sun, high of 90 degrees, bit of a breeze today. It's going to be a fun and beautiful drive home to Bowling Green, Danville, Lone Oak or Louisville this afternoon.
Oh, my! Lone Oak 2, Greenwood 1 in eight innings as the Lady Gators' star pitcher, Elizabeth Moss, comes back from her back injury.

ReplyDeleteNow we've got Lone Oak and Boyle locked in a 1-1 game in the fourth inning. Winner faces prospect of having to beat (hungry) Mercy twice for a state title.

ReplyDeleteLone Oak ends up beating Boyle County, 3-2. Now the Purple Flash are fighting uphill against Mercy. It's 4-0 in the third. Lone Oak would have to come back in this game--and then beat Mercy again in order to claim the state championship.
ReplyDeleteLone Oak got within 4-2 in the top of the sixth, but Mercy answered with three runs in the bottom half. The Purple Flash need five runs in the next half inning to extend their state-championship hopes.

ReplyDeleteHenderson County didn't make the tournament, but an umpire from Henderson did--along with his late father. "I really believe he was with me."
